NEM counterbalance valve (cartridge)

NEM cartridge valves, to screw into blocks with the brand's standard cavities (08, 10, 12, 16 and 20, 2, 3 or 4-way). Each version in the list gives the cavity, the flow, the pressure range and the NEM code.

They hold the load on a cylinder or a motor and only let it come down when there is pilot pressure. The list has non-compensated versions (pilot ratio 3.5:1, 5:1 or 8:1), fully compensated ones and relief-compensated ones, with 80-210, 180-350 and 230-410 bar springs.

In the 0613 series, in SAE 10 cartridge (7/8-14 UNF):

• Flow: up to 70 l/min; maximum pressure: 350 bar
• Cartridge tightening torque: 50 to 55 Nm; weight: 0.3 kg

For the setting, NEM recommends 1.3 times the maximum pressure caused by the load. On non-compensated valves, back pressure at the outlet affects the setting.
