The spider is the elastic part of the ROTEX coupling: it fits between the jaws of the two hubs, transmits the torque and absorbs vibration and small misalignments between motor and pump. This one is in T-PUR, KTR's latest material, with a hardness of 98 Shore A, which the brand presents as longer-lasting and more heat-resistant than standard polyurethane.

Choose the same size as the hubs (from 19 to 100, in the list). In hydraulics, 98 Shore A spiders are the ones used when you want good torque transmission with some damping.
