Technical guide: How to choose a hydraulic hose

Crimp ferrule for EN 856 4SP and 4SH and SAE 100 R12 spiral hoses. Equivalent references: VOSS PF12/PF13 and Danfoss Tieffe BXS (CX series). The outer cover of the hose must be skived where the ferrule sits.

Sizes: 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 1", 1.1/4", 1.1/2" and 2", by the hose bore. In the VOSS range, the ferrule is the PF13 for 5/8", 3/4" and 1" and the PF12 for the other sizes.

Choose the same size as the hose and the fitting, from the same brand as the ferrule, and crimp to the diameter in the manufacturer's crimping table.
