  • In-line flow control valves

    In-line flow control valves with threaded ports: Oleodinamica Marchesini RFP2, RFP3 and VPR3 and Tognella FT270/5.

    The RFP2 is a 2-way compensated valve: it controls the flow passing through, at constant speed. The RFP3 and VPR3 are 3-way valves: they send the set flow to the actuator and the excess to tank or to another circuit, which heats the oil less. The Tognella FT270/5 completes the range. Choose by thread, maximum flow and adjustment range. See also Flow control valves.

  • CETOP flow control valves

    CETOP (ISO 4401) subplate-mounted flow control valves, including modular (sandwich) types: NG6 (CETOP 3) fine adjustment and pressure-compensated valves, and Duplomatic valves.

    • NG6 (CETOP 3): FT-281/5 one-way fine adjustment regulator, FT-288 for 0-2.5 l/min (two-way and one-way compensated) and FT-289 compensated for 2-22 l/min;
    • Duplomatic: RPC compensated flow regulator, QTM7-SA flow control valve and QDE3 proportional regulator (NG6).

    Compensated valves hold the speed as the load varies; fine adjustment valves suit very small flows. Choose by flow range, direction (one-way or two-way) and NG size. See also Flow control valves.

  • Cartridge flow control valves

    Cartridge flow control valves for fitting in manifolds: NEM, Argo-Hytos and Hydac. Choose by cavity.

    • Compensated: 2-way flow control valve for LS circuits (6F2S030500), NEM flow regulator and Argo-Hytos flow valve;
    • Proportional: NEM 2-way and 3-way regulators and Argo-Hytos SD3P / SF32P cartridge;
    • Motion control: Hydac RS08-01-C-N-3-500V.

    Check the cavity, the controlled flow and, for proportional valves, the coil voltage and the control electronics (Electronics and joysticks). Cartridge bodies are under Manifolds and subplates.

Flow control valves for keeping the speed of hydraulic cylinders and motors constant, even when load or pressure changes.

Arranged into CETOP flow control valves, in-line flow control valves and cartridge flow control valves, from Oleodinamica Marchesini, Tognella, Duplomatic, NEM, Argo-Hytos and Hydac.

The difference from a simple restrictor is pressure compensation: a compensated valve holds the set flow even if the downstream pressure changes, so the cylinder always moves at the same speed, loaded or not.

  • 2-way: controls the flow passing through;
  • 3-way (RFP3, VPR3): controls the flow to the actuator and returns the excess to tank, which heats the oil less;
  • Proportional: the flow is controlled by an electrical signal.

Choose by maximum flow, adjustment range (for example 2 to 22 l/min), thread or mounting (NG6 (CETOP 3), in-line, cartridge) and type of adjustment (fine or normal). For speeds without demanding accuracy, a restrictor may be enough.
