Technical guide: How to choose a hydraulic hose

Crimp ferrule for SAE 100 R9 four-spiral hydraulic hoses. It fits over the end of the hose, together with the hose fitting, and is crimped on the crimping machine.

Sizes: 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 1", 1.1/4", 1.1/2" and 2", by the hose bore.

Choose the same size as the hose and the fitting. Spiral hoses usually need the outer cover skived: check the fitting manufacturer's table and crimp to the diameter given there.
