Technical guide: SAE flanges 3000 and 6000 (code 61 and 62): how to identify and measure them

Straight SAE J518 3000 psi (code 61) flange hose fitting, to crimp onto hydraulic hose. The fitting head is clamped to the component with a flange clamp, either one-piece or two split halves, and seals with an O-ring in the face. It is widely used on pump, motor and manifold connections in larger sizes.

Each option gives the flange size and the hose bore: SAE 3000 3/4" - 5/8" is a 3/4" flange for 5/8" hose. Flanges range from 1/2" to 2" and hoses from 1/2" to 2".

Check that the flange is 3000 psi (code 61) and not 6000 psi (code 62): the dimensions are different. The FL-3000 catalogue is in the attachments.
