Technical guide: SAE flanges 3000 and 6000 (code 61 and 62): how to identify and measure them

Crimp hose fitting with a 90° SAE 3000 psi flange head (code 61, ISO 6162-1). The flange is clamped against the pump, motor or manifold with two split flanges and four bolts, and it seals with an O-ring on the flange face.

  • Flanges from 1/2" to 2"
  • Hose from 1/2" to 2" inside diameter
  • Long version in 3/4" and 1"

In each option, the first value is the flange size and the second the hose inside diameter. This is the standard series; for high-pressure spiral hoses there is an Interlock version. Before ordering, check the series (3000 or 6000 psi) on the pump or manifold, as flanges of the two series are not interchangeable. Crimp with the ferrule that matches the hose and the diameter from the crimping chart.
