Technical guide: SAE flanges 3000 and 6000 (code 61 and 62): how to identify and measure them

One-piece SAE 3000 psi (code 61) 90° flange with BSP threaded outlet, to connect a pipe or hose fitting to an SAE port on a pump, motor, manifold or valve, when the line has to come out sideways. It is held by four bolts and seals with an O-ring on the face.

Each option gives first the SAE flange size (the port size) and then the BSP thread of the outlet: 3/4" with 3/4", 1" with 1", 1.1/4" with 1" and 1.1/4" with 1.1/4".

Before ordering, check that the port is SAE 3000 (code 61) and not SAE 6000 (code 62): the two series have different bolt patterns. Measure the distance between the holes and the port diameter, and check the O-ring for the SAE size.
