Technical guide: How to identify hydraulic seals: types, dimensions and materials

Radial lip seal with spring, for the rotating shafts of pumps, hydraulic motors, reducers and gearboxes. The spring presses the lip against the shaft and the outside sits in the housing.

Sizes range from 9.5x19x6.3 to 180x200x15, with some inch sizes, and some sizes are in Viton (VT in the option name).

Sizes read shaft × housing × width, in mm. To choose, measure the shaft diameter, the housing bore and the width, or read the size marked on the old seal. If you are unsure whether you need type CB or type CC, compare the outside of the old seal with the photos of both items.
