Zinc-plated steel screw with a throttled passage, which screws straight into the port of a cylinder or other actuator. It works as a simple bidirectional restrictor: it holds back the oil the same way in and out, and so slows the actuator down.

It is used when a rough setting is enough, or when there is no room for an in-line restrictor. It is not a flow control valve and does not give the same safety; for fine speed control, choose an adjustable restrictor.
