Technical guide: How to identify hydraulic seals: types, dimensions and materials

The P5 is the simplest wiper in the range: one lip that cleans the rod and keeps dust, mud and dirt out of the cylinder. That way the rod does not get scored and the guides and rod seal last longer.

It fits in the cylinder head, where the rod comes out, and the outer shoulder sits flush with the housing, which reduces the moisture getting into the groove. It must not have pressure behind it.

Sizes are in the list; the number in brackets is the shoulder size. Before ordering, measure the rod and the housing, or read the size on the wiper you are replacing.
