Manual lever-operated 4-way reversing valve, with P (pressure) and T (tank) inlets and A and B outlets. With the lever in position 1, P feeds A and B drains to tank; in position 2, P feeds B and A drains to tank. In the centre position all ports are closed (closed centre), which holds the cylinder or motor still. It is used to operate a double-acting cylinder or to reverse the rotation of a hydraulic motor.
