Faber-Com CIVP-V incremental converter: two push buttons raise and lower a 0-5 V and 4-20 mA analogue signal, in place of a potentiometer.
The CIVP-V works as an electronic potentiometer. A pair of push buttons (INC and DEC) raises or lowers the output signal, which goes to the analogue input of a proportional valve card or other equipment. If the button is held down, the signal keeps rising or falling on its own, at one of two selectable speeds.
Several pairs of buttons can be wired in parallel, to control the same output from more than one station. At power-up, the output starts from the last value or from zero, depending on the setting. LEDs on the front show the state of the output and of the buttons.
To drive the coil directly, with a PWM output, there is the CIVPP version.
